Lifeboat14 Privacy Notice

May 8, 2006

The Godspeed Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use Godspeed’s products and services, including information provided when you use Lifeboat14. In addition, the following describes our privacy practices that are specific to Lifeboat14.

Personal information

  • You need a Lifeboat14 account to create a group or post comments in the Lifeboat14 service. Godspeed asks for some personal information when you create a Lifeboat14 Account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.

  • The contents of the postings, messages, prayer requests and other entries that you submit to Lifeboat14 are stored and maintained on Godspeed servers in order to publish the postings and provide the service.

  • If you have a Lifeboat14 Account, you can create a public profile that other Lifeboat14 groups within your Church will have access to if they have a Church Lifeboat14 account (Premium Account). This public profile (for your Church members) may include certain personal information, including your name, geographical location, email address and other user information. When users view your profile, they will see your profile information as well as links to posts that would normally be accessible to them.

  • Godspeed collects and maintains information about your account activity, including the groups that you join or manage, lists of other members or invitees in the groups, messages or topics you track, ratings you make, and your preferred settings when using Lifeboat14.

Uses

  • Information you post in a Lifeboat14 group – including your user name, and personal information will be displayed to users who are apart of your Lifeboat14 group. Similarly, all information that you enter in your user profile can be viewed by other users. The Group Administrators of a Lifeboat14 group decide who is in the group and whether a discussion is public (open to the church level in the event that your church has a Premium account) or restricted to your Lifeboat14 group. As such, groups may include people you do not know that are apart of your church, but not your immediate Lifeboat14 group. Use care when posting personal information in a group, particularly sensitive information, especially if it may be possible that the information is accessible to the entire church and not just within your own Lifeboat14 small group.

Your choices

  • You may update, change, or delete your user profile at any time by going to your profile page.

  • You may request removal of your own postings, unsubscribe from a group or terminate your account within your Lifeboat14 group.

  • You also can change your Lifeboat14 settings by signing into the Lifeboat14 group’s homepage at any time.
